Durable router design
The plastic housing, made from PC+ASA material, protects the internal components from adverse weather conditions in accordance with its IP55 rating. The device operates reliably in a wide temperature range from -40°C to 75°C. This durability enables year-round operation in unprotected outdoor environments without the need for additional heating or cooling. The package includes a mounting bracket for secure attachment to a vertical wall or a round pole in the field.
LTE connectivity and dual SIM
The LTE Cat 4 mobile module supports download speeds of up to 150Mbit/s and upload speeds of up to 50Mbit/s, and is also compatible with 3G and 2G networks. The two Mini-SIM card slots support automatic switching in case of signal loss, roaming, weak reception, or when a set data limit is exceeded. This system maintains continuous connectivity for remote monitoring, camera systems, and other IoT applications in locations without a fixed internet connection.
Power over Ethernet
Data transmission and power are combined into a single Ethernet cable to simplify installation in hard-to-reach places. The input port supports power according to 802.3af and 802.3at standards with a voltage range from 42.5VDC to 57VDC. The second integrated port powers connected peripheral devices with a total power of up to 15W via the 802.3af Alternative B standard. This enables direct connection and powering of an external IP camera or sensor without needing an additional power supply.
RutOS operating system
The device uses the RutOS operating system, built on the Linux OpenWrt distribution, which provides a high level of stability and security. This system offers advanced networking features, including VPN protocols such as IPsec, SSTP, PPTP, OpenVPN, and WireGuard. For deployment in industrial automation and IoT, Modbus TCP, MQTT, and BACnet protocols are implemented. The Teltonika Remote Management System platform provides complete remote administration, bulk configuration, and monitoring of connected endpoints.
Network security features
An integrated firewall with customisable rules protects the internal network from unauthorised access and DoS attacks, including prevention of SYN floods and SSH attacks. The integrated Wi-Fi 4 wireless transmission uses WPA2 and WPA3 security standards with AES encryption to secure transmitted data. Administrators can configure separate VLANs, set up web filtering using whitelists and blacklists, or create a secure Wi-Fi hotspot with its own captive portal.
Router physical interface
The 49.3×110×235mm body includes two RJ-45 Ethernet ports with a transmission speed of 10/100Mbit/s. LED indicators for signal strength, mobile connection type, and the status of individual Ethernet ports are located directly on the plastic chassis. The device has two integrated omnidirectional antennas for mobile networks. The physical interface is completed by a hardware reset button, which is used to immediately restore the device to its factory settings.
