Use a protector of the same size for a 200×220cm double bed. Elastic bands sewn into the corners make it easy to fit even onto deep mattresses. The bands are flexible and strong, ensuring the protector does not slide around while you sleep. Protecting your mattress is more important than you might think. Everyone, whether a child or an adult, naturally sweats. During the night, you sweat up to a litre of moisture, which absorbs into the bedsheet and the core of the mattress. A mattress protector increases overall bed hygiene. It also provides protection against mechanical damage, dirt, dust mites, sweat and urine. It is an ideal helper for cots or first beds, but it also has its place for adults as standard mattress protection, as well as for seniors or long-term bedridden patients. The waterproof protector creates a protective, liquid-resistant layer. You do not have to worry about feeling like you are sleeping on plastic – the top layer of the protector consists of skin-friendly, soft-touch microfibre.

Waterproof layer

Waterproof mattress protectors feature technology that ensures liquid absorption while maintaining comfort. The impermeable layer consists of a polypropylene coating on the underside of the protector, closest to the mattress. A soft microfibre top layer ensures comfort while you sleep. Hollow fibre is sandwiched between these layers. Hollow fibre offers excellent insulation properties, is lightweight and resists flattening. It prevents the growth of dust mites, mould and bacteria, making it suitable for allergy and asthma sufferers. Simple mattress attachment: easily fit the impermeable mattress protectors to both cot and standard adult mattresses. Each protector features four flexible yet strong elastic bands in the corners. Simply stretch and hook them under the mattress. The strong bands ensure the protector does not slide during sleep and stays firmly in place.

Extending your mattress life

Maintaining mattress protectors is incredibly easy. Wash and dry the protector thoroughly before first use. To preserve its performance, especially its waterproof properties, we recommend washing at a maximum temperature of 60°C. Wash the protector when you change your bed linen, ideally 1× every 14 days. After washing, leave the protector to air dry – we do not recommend using a tumble dryer. Do not boil, bleach or use other chemical agents under any circumstances. The microfibre top layer does not require ironing. After washing and drying, it is perfectly clean, hygienic and ready to use again.

This can lead to the development of asthma, allergies or eczema. Protecting your mattress is essential to extend its lifespan and improve bed hygiene. Using a mattress protector is an excellent solution. You can regularly air the protector in winter and summer, exposing it to high and low temperatures.
