Each turn, you choose one pair of environment tiles and animal tokens from the menu and add them to your expanding map. The new tile must touch at least one tile on the map, and the animal token must be placed on a tile that allows the animal to be placed. You will try to create as many contiguous areas of five different habitats (mountains, forests, prairies, wetlands and rivers) as possible while arranging the animals to meet the scoring requirements for each species. Each game will offer a different combination of animal scoring cards,which ensures high replayability and forces you to adapt your strategy. The game ends when the supply of environment tiles runs out - each player takes exactly 20 turns. This is followed by a final evaluation where you get points for animals according to the applicable scorecards, for contiguous habitat areas and bonus points for the largest areas compared to other players. KASKADIE also offers a solo variant and a family mode for easier playing. Whoever can create the most harmonious ecosystem in Cascadia wins!
