What the extension is about

Dixit 3 Journey brings new dimensions of imagination and creativity to the world of Dixit. Includes 84 new cards with original illustrations that can be used alone or shuffled into the base game. The cards offer a varied mix of fairy tale motifs and elements of American culture, with a more specific drawing style than the original Dixit version. Here you will find dreamlike scenes inspired by classic fairy tales, iconic elements of American pop culture, fantastical scenery and symbolic images that stimulate the imagination and offer a rich source of inspiration for creating stories and associations. The principle of the game remains the same - one player in the role of the Storyteller selects a card and associates a concept, sentence or sound to it. The other players try to guess which card belongs to the Teller, while confusing their opponents with their own cards. The Narrator's goal is to have his card guessed by everyone, but not by anyone.

Meet the illustrator

The illustrations are by Belgian artist Xavier Collette. ´He has been illustrating imaginary worlds for 15 years. His work spans a wide range of projects from role-playing game illustrations, concept art for video games, book covers, comics and board games. Collette is known for his unique style that perfectly captures the dreamy and fantastical atmosphere of Dixit. His illustrations for Dixit 3 Journey bring a new, more specific style to the game,which harmoniously combines fairy tale motifs with elements of American culture.
