Dušek Viking ship Gokstad 1:72 kit

Etchings of the static model of the Viking ship Gokstad in 1 : 72 is made mostly of wood with small accessories. Included are all wooden parts, canvas for the sail, strings for the rigging and round shields, as well as a small stand, construction plan and instructions with many detailed pictures. The design is based on a laser-cut keel, ribs and planks. The kit is suitable for ages 14 and up.

Viking ship Gokstad

The Dušek Gokstad wooden model of a Viking ship contains a model of a Viking-era ship discovered in 1880 near Gokstad, Norway. The ship was built in the second half of the 9th century. The excellent seaworthiness of this ship was demonstrated in 1893, when Magnus Anderson crossed the Atlantic from Norway to the USA with a replica. The ship was approximately 23 m long and 5.20 m wide. The keel and the planking were made of oak. The hull was assembled from a total of 32 planks using the clinker method, where the individual planks overlap. The ship was propelled by 32 oars and had a rectangular sail.

The company was founded in 2007 with a single kit - a Greek bireme. In 2025, it produces more than 20 different kits.
