E-flite Timber X 0.57m SAFE Select BNF Basic
The UMX Timber X is a scaled-down Ultra-micro version of the popular larger Timber X 1.2m model, one of the most requested models in E-flite history. Very lightweight STOL flying design with large wheels for short takeoff and landing, large rudders for high maneuverability and 3S compatible power drive all provide an even wider flight envelope. The UMX Timber X is also equipped with LED landing, navigation and flash lights, and the model's electronics provide real-time battery voltage and other telemetry data to compatible Spektrum transmitters. Thanks to its Ultra-Micro size, the UMX Timber X can be flown outdoors in parks and meadows or even indoors in gyms and other suitable areas. Install the optional floats (sold separately) and you can take off from pools, ponds and lakes. It's a great choice for a wide range of intermediate to experienced pilots and offers a relaxed calm to wild flying experience.

Bind-N-Fly advantage and exclusive technology
The control unit contains an ESC and a receiver that sends telemetry data on battery voltage to compatible Spektrum transmitters with AirWare function (e.g. DX6e, DX8e, DX9, NX6-10, iX12, iX20 and others). The model is equipped with AS3X and optional SAFE Select technologies. The AS3X stabilizes flight in wind and turbulence, SAFE Select limits pitch/roll angles and offers automatic leveling - activation can be done with a switch without complex programming.
Extreme manoeuvrability and powerful drive, STOL capabilities
The wing with a shorter span, larger ailerons along the entire length (can be used as flaperons), larger elevator and rudder allows very calm and extremely aerobatic flying according to the set deflections. The factory-installed 3S-compatible brushless motor allows hover in the air and unlimited vertical performance. The short span wing design, full ailerons and lightweight design combined with a powerful engine allow for very short take-offs and landings.
Universal chassis, LED lighting and design
Large tundra-style wheels allow operation on grass, gravel, dirt and asphalt. With the purchase of floats (EFLUA1190) it is also possible to fly from water. Factory-installed landing, position and warning LED lights powered by the main battery increase realism and visibility. The model is fully assembled from the factory, equipped with Spektrum 2.4 GHz technology and ready to fly immediately after unpacking and pairing with the transmitter (min. 5-channel). The lightweight and strong EPS hull ensures low weight and high durability. A complete range of spare parts is available in case of damage.
SAFE Select - features
Limitation of pitch and roll angles: the model does not turn and take extreme flight angles. Automatic compensation: after releasing the levers, the model will level off into straight flight. Easy switch assignment: SAFE Select function is preset to channel 5 (Gear), no programming required. The procedure for assigning a switch on the transmitter to turn SAFE Select on and off is very simple, requires no complex programming and takes only a few seconds. On UMX models, the SAFE Select function is automatically assigned to channel 5 (Gear), so it can be controlled by any switch assigned to that channel - normally switch A on most Spektrum programmable transmitters.
Recommended accessories
To put the model into operation, you need a Spektrum transmitter with DSM2/DSMX support, a 3S 11.1 V LiPol battery with 280-350 mAh capacity and a JST connector - ideally a Spektrum LiPo 11.1 V 300 mAh 30C JST - and a compatible charger, such as the Spektrum Smart Charger S150 1×50 W AC, along with a Spektrum IC3 - JST conversion cable for connection to the battery. Modern Spektrum programmable transmitters are suitable for pairing the BNF version of the model. The 6 channel Spektrum DX6e DSMX with telemetry and memory for 250 models is recommended, or the new generation NX series transmitters - specifically the Spektrum NX6 DSMX and Spektrum NX8 DSMX - both with Smart technology compatibility, USB port and WiFi connectivity.
Accessories for normal operation
For the normal operation of RC model aircraft it is advisable to have a set of good quality tools, suitable adhesives and packaging for safe storage and transport of batteries. Imbus screwdrivers 1.5 / 2.0 / 2.5 / 3.0 mm are recommended, Modelcraft Phillips screwdrivers (set of 6), Modelcraft mini pliers in sheath and Modelcraft cutting knife with A6 backing. For quick repairs, a fast-setting 4-minute epoxy adhesive, such as Speed Epoxy 4 min. 71 g. Protective packaging for batteries is an important safety feature during transport and charging. LiPol batteries are powerful, compact and lightweight, but susceptible to mechanical damage, so they need to be protected with quality packaging to reduce the risk of fire or other accidents.
