Sailing, fishing, trading, building and expanding influence
The core of the game is placing villagers on action spaces. Sailing moves your ships, which gives you access to other actions – catching fish, trading, or building. Fish, gold coins, and crystals form the economic foundation that your clan's development depends on. You build settlements on adjacent island spaces for a set price, and some spaces provide immediate bonuses. Shrines on the islands multiply the value of connected settlements, so not only expansion is important, but also their placement. A game lasts four rounds, followed by final scoring for island control, completed final objectives, and collected resources.
