The board game Game of Thrones follows the success of the popular fantasy saga A Song of Ice and Fire by G. R. R. Martina. You find yourself in the role of the leader of one of the powerful families of Westeros. As a member of the Lannisters, Starks, Martells, Baratheons, Greyjoys or Tyrells, your goal is to sit on the Iron Throne and become the ruler of Westeros. Will you decide to gain the throne by military force, by negotiation, or by using trickery and manipulation? The board game version of Game of Thrones is designed for 3-6 players over 14 years of age and will take approximately 120-180 minutes per game.

Become the leader of one of the famous Houses in Game of Thrones
In the board game version of Game of Thrones, you find yourself at the head of one of the six Houses of Westeros, with the sole goal of becoming King of all of Westeros. To this end, you have a total of 10 rounds in which you must dominate as many cities and fortresses. This can be achieved by military force, diplomacy or subterfuge. It all depends on the chosen strategy.

The board version of Game of Thrones consists of 10 rounds. Each round is then divided into three phases, namely the Westeros phase, the planning phase and the action phase. In the Westeros phase, events take place that can affect the course of the game and the players themselves. In the second phase you have the opportunity to give secret instructions to your units and negotiate with your opponents. In the third phase of Game of Thrones, there are battles between the various Houses and the conquest of regions and fortresses.
Who will sit on the Iron Throne?
The winner of the board version of Game of Thrones is the player who is the first to capture 7 strongholds or castles. However, if this does not happen even after the tenth round, the clan with the most dominated areas wins. In the Czech edition, players will also find some elements from the A Clash of Kings and A Storm of Swords expansions.
