The 29th of October is World Psoriasis Day. Polka Dot Day takes this opportunity to highlight that no one with psoriasis or psoriatic arthritis should be left alone with their worries. Psoriasis can affect anyone, and in the Czech Republic, over a quarter of a million people live with it. More than the disease itself, people with psoriasis are often hurt by prejudice and a lack of understanding from those around them. Thanks to the collaboration between Polka Dot Day and the company EFKO-karton from Nové Veselí, a four-member Igráček family with polka dots has been created. The polka dots symbolise the psoriasis patches on the skin. Children can stick the polka dot stickers on the Igráček figures and learn in a playful way that people with psoriasis are the same as everyone else, differing from others only by the dots (psoriasis) on their skin.
