Guess the secret word
In each round, one of you becomes the active player whose task is to guess the mystery word. The other players help him with this by using one-word clues that they write on their bases. But you can't take advice, and worse, any matching hints are discarded. So come up with something original, but at the same time meaningful. The active player then tries to guess the word based on the remaining clues. The game lasts 13 rounds (i.e. 13 words), for each correctly guessed word you get a point. If you want to play for the result, you can check the scoreboard after each game to see how you did.
History and creator of the game
French game designers Bruno Sautter and Ludovic Roudy are behind One Word (originally Just One). The publisher is Belgian Repos Production. The game was first released in 2018 and a year later, in 2019, it won the prestigious Spiel des Jahres award. The localised version in Czech and Slovak is available from 2020, the new edition will be released in 2025.
