Kitronik motor control unit
Included is a Kitronik unit with a socket for direct connection to the Microbit unit. This motor control unit allows simultaneous control of two motors with forward, reverse and full stop control, making it ideal for model car control. The board has built-in short circuit protection, overcurrent protection and thermal protection. It also includes an integrated Edge Connector for BBC micro: a bit that's easy to slide into. It also has an external connection to the A and B button inputs. This allows additional switches/inputs to be connected to the motor controller board and their status can then be read via the BBC micro: bit in digital or analogue mode. Power is provided by either a terminal block or a servo type connector and is controlled by an on/off switch on the board. There is a green LED that indicates the board is on. The board also produces a regulated 3V power supply, fed into a 40 way connector to power the embedded BBC micro: bit, eliminating the need to power the BBC micro: bit directly.

Small smart microcomputer BBC Micro: Bit
The assembled mCar model has a small BBC Micro computer in it: A bit that comes pre-installed with a program to control the model via Bluetooth technology. You can modify this program or replace it with your own - according to your requirements, imagination, or even the needs of the model you have built. Micro: Microcomputer bit for Merkur® mCar 01 l kit. e. is the size of a small plate 4 x 5 cm. The microcomputer itself can be used to teach programming, or (as in this case) to control a car or other device. You can then gradually modify the selected program, change the driving characteristics and improve the capabilities of the constructed car. Micro unit: The bit has several smart sensors directly built in and includes:
- programmable buttons
- display (5×5 dots)
- input/output ports (bananas or crocodiles can be inserted into the holes)
- accelerometer - acceleration, shaking, tilt
- magnetometer - orientation to the Earth's magnetic field,
- speaker, microphone, radio antenna with Bluetooth, touch logo

Merkur® mCar 01 l kit control. e. using the mCar app
Control of the assembled car or Micro unit: Bit, it is possible to use the mCar app on your phone via a wireless Bluetooth connection. Programming the unit for additional functions is possible via the Make Code for Micro tutorial: Bit. Micro control unit: bit is a handheld computer suitable for teaching in primary and secondary schools. Allows you to teach the basics of educational programming through a graphical block interface or through Javascript and Python. Kit Merkur mCar 01 l. e. teaches programming connected to reality, makes it easy to get started and opens up a lot of room for growth. In addition, Kitronik has created a set of custom blocks for the MakeCode editor to simplify operation. To add them to your editor, select the gear icon in the top right corner of the editor. Then select Extensions from the drop-down menu and type Kitronik in the search box. Select the one for the Kitronik engine unit from the list of tiles and the new blocks will be automatically added to the menu in your editor. And then you can program, experiment and improve the features of your Merkur® mCar 01 l. e.

Variability of individual parts
Playing with the Merkur® mCar 01 l. e. ...the imagination has no limits. Are you tired of your car? Then there is nothing easier than to start building the next model. Variability and the possibility to combine different types of Merkur® kits allows you to do so. Hours of inventing and exploring, researching and assembling even the smallest parts, develops your children's logical thinking, fine motor skills, encourages patience and teaches them to solve a variety of engineering problems.
Package contents: MicroBit control unit, Kitronik 5698 motor control unit, the battery box, USB Flash drive, 4× engine, metal parts of the kit (210 pieces)

Mercury®
Merkur® is a Czech-made kit, appearing on the market since 1920, when Mr. Jaroslav Vancl founded the company Inventor and began to develop children's metal kits. Thanks to it, children today can build various models, road and rail vehicles, cranes and many other constructions, according to the instructions or their own rich imagination. Merkur® building sets soon became the dream of all Czech children. Our parents and grandparents have played with them. The Merkur® kit was not to be missed at any birthday party or under the Christmas tree. It is based on metal parts that are connected by screws and nuts. Mercury® is the epitome of tradition. Nowadays, Mercury designs have advanced so far that they can be used to build simple robots, moving models, or even mobile phone-controlled cars.
