Tri-band performance with Wi-Fi 7
The system works with the Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) standard and splits traffic across three bands for optimal performance. The combined speed reaches 13,659Mbps, divided into 8647Mbps on the 6GHz band, 4324Mbps on the 5GHz band, and 688Mbps on the 2.4GHz band. To increase throughput and reduce latency, it uses 320MHz wide channels in the 6GHz band and Multi-Link Operation (MLO) technology, which bundles multiple bands simultaneously for a single device. 4K-QAM modulation further increases data transfer speeds. OFDMA and 3×3 MU-MIMO technologies support efficient data stream management for multiple clients.
Intelligent mesh coverage
The set of three Deco BE68 units creates a unified mesh network with a single name, covering an area of up to 750m². TP-Link Mesh technology with AI support analyses the network environment and optimises the connection for each device in real time, delivering seamless roaming without dropouts as you move around the house. The system handles up to 200 connected devices simultaneously without any drop in performance. For maximum stability and speed of the backhaul connection between units, you can use a flexible Ethernet backhaul to supplement the wireless connection.
Network security and management
Network security uses modern WPA3 Personal encryption, complemented by the older WPA2 and WPA standards to ensure compatibility. The integrated HomeShield package provides comprehensive real-time protection, including an SPI firewall, malicious site blocking, and DDoS attack prevention. For secure connections to a corporate or home network, the system supports VPN server and client functions with OpenVPN, WireGuard, PPTP, and L2TP/IPSec protocols. You can carry out complete network setup and management, including parental controls, via the Deco mobile app or web interface.
WiFi system connectivity
Each Deco unit offers flexible wired connection options for devices requiring high speed and stability. There is one 10Gbps port, one 2.5Gbps port, and one 1Gbps port available. All ports automatically detect whether they should function as WAN or LAN. The presence of a 10Gbps port allows you to take full advantage of multi-gigabit internet tariffs and connect demanding devices such as gaming consoles or network-attached storage (NAS). Additionally, each unit includes one USB 3.0 port, which is used for connecting external drives for easy file sharing across the entire network.
