TP-Link EAP653 (5-pack), Omada

TP-Link EAP653 (5-pack), Omada
The TP-Link 5-pack with Omada for EAP653 is a set of five dual-band access points that uses the Wi-Fi 6 standard to build high-performance, high-density wireless networks. The Omada WiFi system works with a combined transfer speed of up to 2976Mbps, split into 2402Mbps on the 5GHz band and 574Mbps on the 2.4GHz band. To efficiently serve a large number of connected devices simultaneously, it integrates OFDMA and MU-MIMO technologies. Centralised management via the Omada SDN platform simplifies the configuration and monitoring of the entire network from a single web interface or mobile app. The cloud-managed access point supports Omada Mesh for flexible coverage extension without additional cabling, and PoE+ (802.3at) power for simplified installation.
Key features of the TP-Link EAP653(5-pack), Omada WiFi access point
- Set up to 16 separate wireless networks (SSIDs)
- Efficient Wi-Fi 6 lets more connected devices enjoy fast connections
- Integration into the Omada SDN platform enables you to manage the entire network locally or via the cloud using a web interface or the Omada app
- The 160MHz channel doubles the data capacity at peak times on a single data stream with HE160 technology
- Seamless roaming ensures video streams and voice calls remain stable as the user moves between access points
- Omada Mesh provides a wireless connection between access points
- PoE support enables power over Ethernet (PoE+ 802.3at)
Ultra-fast Wi-Fi 6 connectivity
The access point works with the 802.11ax standard and transmits data on two bands. It reaches speeds of 2402Mbps on the 5GHz band and 574Mbps on the 2.4GHz band. OFDMA and MU-MIMO technologies increase network efficiency and responsiveness under heavy load. The 160MHz channel doubles the data capacity in a single data stream, which is beneficial for bandwidth-intensive applications.
Advanced network security
The TP-Link EAP653 protects the network with modern encryption standards and security features. It supports WPA3-Personal/Enterprise protocols, which complement the older WPA2 and WPA. For business environments, it offers authentication via a Radius server (802.1X). A guest network provides separate access, protecting internal resources from unauthorised access.
Range extension
Omada Mesh technology is used to wirelessly connect individual access points, flexibly extending coverage without the need to install additional data cables. Seamless roaming keeps voice calls and video streams stable even when users move between coverage zones. The Omada SDN platform integrates network devices for 100% centralised cloud management available via a web interface or mobile app.
Connectivity options
The access point includes one Gigabit Ethernet RJ-45 port for network connection. Installation is simplified by Power over Ethernet (PoE+) support, which eliminates the need to run a separate power cable to the device. Alternatively, it can be powered by a 12V DC adapter, which is not included in the package.
