Power over PoE and smart features
The TP-Link TL-SG1005P-PD switch is powered exclusively via PoE, so it does not require a separate power adapter. To get it running, simply connect it to another switch or injector that supports the PoE++ (802.3bt) standard. It then provides PoE+ (802.3af/at) power on four of its five ports, with a total output of up to 66W. For specific scenarios like camera systems, the switch is equipped with Extend Mode. This enables data and power transmission over distances of up to 250 metres on ports 1 and 2. The PoE Auto Recovery feature enhances operational reliability by automatically detecting and restarting unresponsive PoE devices.
