The Ubiquiti Dream Router 7 is a tri-band WiFi 7 (802.11be) network device designed for indoor use. The wireless network operates on the 802.11be standard, delivering high throughput and low latency. The 2×2 MU-MIMO technology on all frequencies helps manage data streams for multiple clients simultaneously. The device uses three separate frequency bands to efficiently distribute the load: 6GHz with speeds up to 5.7Gb/s, 5GHz with speeds up to 4.3Gb/s, and 2.4GHz with speeds up to 688Mb/s. The device can cover an area of 160m² and maintains a stable connection for a large number of users. The system supports connections for more than 300 active devices without any loss of performance. You can easily combine additional access points within a unified network to extend the range in complex buildings. Seamless roaming technology keeps client devices constantly connected to the strongest node.
Connectivity Options
The wired connection offers a high-speed interface for connecting to the internet and the local network. The physical ports support speeds of up to 10Gbps for smooth transfer of large data volumes. The device includes Ethernet ports with support for powering other network elements. The equipment includes 1× 10G SFP+ WAN port and 1× 2.5GbE RJ-45 WAN port.
Advanced Security
The security system protects network traffic on several levels simultaneously. Integrated tools prevent unauthorised access and filter malicious content right at the network entry point. Users can create secure encrypted tunnels for remote connections from home or branch offices. Protection includes WPA-PSK, WPA2-Enterprise, and WPA3 encryption, a firewall with L7 application detection, an IDS/IPS intrusion prevention system with a throughput of 2.3Gb/s, an integrated VPN server and VPN client for WireGuard and OpenVPN protocols, as well as content filtering and ad blocking.
