The Ubiquiti airMAX Rocket Prism 5AC RP-5AC-Gen2 WiFi antenna provides wireless data transmission in the 5GHz frequency band. This outdoor unit uses the 802.11ac standard and delivers a data throughput of 500+Mbps when used with compatible counterpart points. The die-cast aluminium construction ensures durability and reliable operation even in harsh outdoor conditions. The device offers one gigabit RJ45 port and three connectors: two waterproof RP-SMA and one waterproof GPS connector. The overall dimensions of this unit are 230×88×40mm and it weighs 0.4kg. The device is used for wireless Point-to-Point or Point-to-MultiPoint links. Active GPS synchronisation helps to efficiently coordinate transmissions from individual points in one location. This prevents mutual signal interference when multiple devices are installed on a single mast. The system supports Access Point and Station operating modes, airMAX AC Mode technology, the Discovery Protocol and the Traffic Shaping function with Burst support. The channel width in PtP mode ranges from 10 to 80MHz.

Durable design
The die-cast aluminium chassis ensures a robust and durable device construction. The device operates reliably in a temperature range from -40 to 80°C. Wind resistance corresponds to a force of 342.5N at a wind speed of 200km/h. The ambient humidity can range from 5 to 95% without condensation. The unit's body features LED indicators for monitoring signal strength, power, LAN port activity and GPS status. These elements make it easy to check the device's status directly at the installation site.
Wireless frequencies
The device supports a channel width range of 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60 and 80MHz for PtP links and 10, 20, 30 and 40MHz for PtMP. The management radio operates in the 2412 to 2472MHz frequency range (Worldwide) for wireless setup. The main wireless component operates in the worldwide frequency range of 5150 to 5875MHz and supports the Frequency Band Offset function.
Power options
For connecting to a computer network, it provides one gigabit Ethernet RJ45 port. Power is supplied via passive PoE 2-pair (4, 5+; 7, 8 return) with support for 18–27V DC voltage. Power consumption reaches 9.5W at maximum load. The package includes a 24V/1A gigabit PoE adapter. This power method eliminates the need for a separate power cable to the device and simplifies outdoor installation on masts.

The product meets strict safety and environmental standards. Official certifications include CE, FCC, IC, RoHS, and the Brazilian Anatel registry with number 02137-18-08356. The device meets the shock and vibration resistance requirements according to the ETSI300-019-1.4 standard. The product is fully compliant with the US NDAA regulation. In terms of software services, it integrates functions such as Bridging, DHCP, Ping Watchdog, Routing, SNMP, SSH and a built-in Webserver for management. It uses WMM packet classification QoS for network traffic management.
