The Ubiquiti UniFi Protect UVC-G5-PTZ-B IP camera captures its surroundings in high resolution of 2688 × 1512px at 30 FPS. The wide-angle lens provides a horizontal viewing angle of 99.7° and is complemented by classic infrared night vision with a range of up to 20m. Integrated algorithms perform precise detection of movement, people and cars. It is powered via an Ethernet cable using PoE technology. The durable motorised pan-and-tilt construction covers a wide area and withstands adverse weather conditions thanks to its IP66 rating. An integrated microphone captures sound from the surroundings and records video with an audio track. For storing the captured footage, there is a MicroSDXC memory card slot with support for up to 256GB or cloud storage. The device supports continuous 24/7 recording and can trigger a warning audio alarm in the event of a breach.

Image parameters and night vision
The 1/2.7" 5MP CMOS sensor captures video at 2688 × 1512px resolution. The varifocal lens with a focal length of 3.42 to 6.85mm and an aperture of ƒ/1.85 to ƒ/2.4 offers a horizontal viewing angle of 99.7° in wide mode and 45.5° in tele mode. Video at 30 FPS uses the H.264 compression format, which reduces the storage space required while maintaining high image detail. The night mode combines classic infrared illumination and white LEDs for shooting in the dark and low-light conditions. An integrated mechanical IR cut filter automatically switches between day and night modes according to the current ambient light level. The night vision range is up to 20m and covers the immediate vicinity of the monitored building.
Detection and smart features
Advanced Motion Detection 2.0 algorithms analyse the image in real time and filter out false alarms. The Ubiquiti UniFi Protect UVC-G5-PTZ-B IP camera system recognises people, vehicles and animals, and the user can define specific activity zones for precise monitoring of selected sectors. In the event of a breach, the camera activates an alarm and sends an instant notification to your mobile phone.
Construction and durability
The motorised rotation of the Ubiquiti UniFi Protect UVC-G5-PTZ-B IP camera pans the lens through 350° and tilts it through 100° with low latency. The 2.0× optical zoom brings distant objects closer without loss of image quality. The aluminium alloy and polycarbonate body, with IP66 and IK04 mechanical resistance ratings, withstands temperatures from -30°C to 45°C at up to 90% humidity. The 580g construction (without bracket) is suitable for wall or pole mounting.
Connectivity and application
An RJ-45 Ethernet interface with a speed of 10/100 MbE is used to connect the Ubiquiti UniFi Protect UVC-G5-PTZ-B IP camera to the local network. Power is supplied via the network cable using the PoE+ standard with a voltage of 37 to 57V DC and consumption of up to 14W. Management and video monitoring are provided by the UniFi Protect mobile app for Android and iOS, which is available in English, German or French.
