Ubiquiti UniFi UPS Tower

Ubiquiti UniFi UPS Tower
The Ubiquiti UniFi UPS Tower uninterruptible power supply with line-interactive topology delivers a stable power supply for network devices in homes and businesses. This UPS offers an apparent power of 1000VA and a real power of 600W. At full load, the backup time is 120s, and at half load, it lasts for 420s. The integrated automatic voltage regulation stabilises the output voltage in the range of 170 to 280V AC without needing to switch to battery power. The device operates with a nominal input voltage of 230V AC and comes in a tower design.
Key features of the Ubiquiti UniFi UPS Tower
- Uses line-interactive topology with automatic voltage regulation
- Supports safe, automatic shutdown of UniFi UNVR and UNAS systems
- Full compatibility with the Network UPS Tools protocol
- Hot-swappable lead-acid battery for easy replacement without power interruption
- Clear LED charge status indicator on the front panel
- Integrated Ethernet ports protect connected data lines from surges
- Output connectors are divided into fully backed-up sockets and sockets with surge protection
Performance parameters
The UPS uses line-interactive topology, which responds to voltage fluctuations in the mains. The apparent power is 1000VA and the real power is 600W. The efficiency of the UPS at 100% load is 95%, increasing to 98% at 50% load. Automatic voltage regulation adjusts for deviations in the input voltage range of 170–280V AC. The backup time at full load is 120s, and at half load, it is 420s.
Design
The device has a tower design and sits on a desk or shelf. Its physical dimensions are 99×288×280.5mm and its total weight is 8.17kg. The IP20-rated casing protects the internal components from the ingress of solid particles. The operating temperature ranges from 0 to 40°C at up to 95% humidity without condensation. The power supply meets CE and IEC 62040-1 certifications.
Battery with hot-swap capability
The UPS contains a lead-acid battery with a voltage of 12V and a capacity of 9Ah. The battery, with a total capacity of 108Wh, is hot-swappable, so you don't need to switch off connected devices. Charging time to 90% capacity takes 6 to 8 hours. When running on battery power, the UPS generates a simulated sine wave with a frequency of 50Hz. The unit's protective features include overload protection in both mains and battery mode, and short-circuit protection via a 250V AC, 10A circuit breaker.
Advanced management
A single 100/10Mb/s Ethernet port connects the device to the local network. The device supports the Graceful Shutdown function for UniFi UNVR and UNAS systems, which safely shuts them down when the battery is depleted. Compatibility with the Network UPS Tools protocol expands integration options with devices from other manufacturers. A five-level blue LED indicator on the front panel displays the current status and battery capacity.
Connectivity options
The input power is supplied by a C14 connector with a detachable 1.8m cable. The output section consists of a total of ten C13 sockets, which are divided into two groups. Five sockets provide battery backup power along with surge protection, and another five sockets offer surge protection only. Two Gigabit Ethernet ports protect connected data lines from dangerous surges.
