High PoE Budget and Power Backup
The switch is equipped with eight ports supporting the PoE++ (802.3bt) standard, which are capable of powering demanding devices. The total PoE budget is 400W, with each PoE port handling an output power of 60W. This is suitable for powering access points, PTZ cameras, or VoIP phones. The switch is powered by an internal 450W AC/DC power supply with an input voltage of 100–240V AC. Power consumption without PoE is 50W. To increase operational reliability, there is an input for backup DC power, which keeps the switch running in the event of a primary power source failure.
Advanced Network Management and Etherlighting™
The device integrates advanced L3 features that allow for network traffic management. VLANs can be used to logically segment the network. QoS (Quality of Service) is used to prioritise data flows. Link aggregation (LACP) increases total throughput and provides link redundancy. It also includes ports with Etherlighting™ technology, which use backlighting to visually indicate the speed, activity, and VLAN membership of a port. All configuration is done centrally via the UniFi Network interface.
Flexible Connectivity for Demanding Networks
The switch offers a combination of ports for various network scenarios. Sixteen 1GbE ports are used to connect standard end devices such as computers or printers. Eight 2.5GbE ports are for connecting devices with higher speed requirements, such as access points or workstations. For high-speed connections to the backbone network or servers, there are two 10GbE SFP+ ports available. Thanks to its rack-mountable design, the switch can be easily integrated into existing server infrastructure.
