The Ubiquiti Wave-AP-Micro-EU WiFi antenna is designed for outdoor wireless data transmission and functions as a Point-to-Multipoint access point. The device operates in the 60GHz band with a total throughput of up to 5Gb/s. The directional antenna with a gain of 20dBi works at a distance of 6km when connected to compatible Wave Pro or Wave Long-Range stations. The system supports the connection of up to 31 client stations simultaneously and includes a quad-core 1.4GHz ARM Cortex-A53 processor. Its aluminium alloy construction and IPX6 rating ensure it can withstand the elements.

High-Speed Transmission
The device uses Wave technology for a Point-to-Multipoint wireless connection. The speed is 5,000Mb/s on the 60GHz frequency. A backup 5GHz radio link is activated during adverse weather conditions. The integrated 1.4GHz quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 processor handles network traffic without lag.
Durable Construction
The outdoor unit has a body made of aluminium alloy and UV-stabilised polycarbonate. These robust materials reliably protect the internal components from rain and sunlight. The IPX6-certified rating prevents water from entering the internal parts even when subjected to powerful jets from all directions. The device operates in a temperature range of -40 to 60°C and can withstand an ambient air humidity of 5 to 95% without condensation.
Signal Range
The directional antenna transmits a signal with a beamwidth of 30°. The wireless connection range is 6,000m with a direct line of sight to the opposite point. Vertical polarisation of the transmitted signal reduces interference with surrounding networks in densely built-up areas. The connection with a Wave Pro or Wave Long-Range unit works at a distance of up to 6km, with a Wave Nano unit up to 4km, and with a Wave Pico up to 0.9km. The gain of the main antenna is 20dBi.
Power and Connectivity
A single RJ45 ethernet port with a speed of up to 2.5Gb/s is used to connect to the local network. Power is supplied via passive four-pair PoE with a supported voltage of 44 to 54V, or two-pair with a voltage of 22 to 27V. The power consumption of the device does not exceed 24W when all wireless parts are under full load. A PoE adapter with a 48V DC output and a current of 0.65A is included in the package. The device is NDAA compliant and has FCC, IC and CE certifications.
Precise Location and Management
The integrated GPS receiver provides precise location information for network synchronisation and planning purposes. The administrator manages the device remotely using UISP software or a mobile app for iOS and Android. LED indicators on the body of the device show the status of the power, ethernet activity, GPS signal and wireless connection. Setup is made easy by the integrated discovery protocol and Wave AI analytical tools.
Pole Installation
The mounting kit included in the package is used to attach the unit to a round pole. Stainless steel and strong polycarbonate form the load-bearing part of the mount, which has an adjustable tilt and zero electrical tilt. The structure withstands a wind load of 87N at a speed of 200km/h. It can be installed on pipes with a diameter of 35 to 60mm.
