Unitree As2 U2
The Unitree As2 U2 is an advanced quadruped robot designed for research, development, and demanding educational and industrial deployments. Compared to the basic variants, it brings higher computing power for AI tasks, richer sensor equipment and an open platform for secondary development. The combination of fast motion, high payload capacity, industrial LiDAR and depth camera makes it suitable for autonomous navigation, algorithm testing, space mapping and embodied AI experiments.

Industrial perception of space and readiness for autonomy
The Unitree As2 U2 combines industrial LiDAR with a depth camera so the robot gets a reliable view of the surrounding area and can work with more accurate data for navigation, mapping and obstacle detection. This equipment makes it a suitable platform for developing autonomous functions, SLAM applications or testing robot behavior in real environments without the need for complex addition of external sensors.
Computing power for AI and secondary development
A big advantage of the U2 variant is the integrated computing dock with 100 TOPS of power, which pushes the robot towards more challenging AI scenarios. As2 U2 can thus better process sensory data in real time, work with neural models and serve as an open platform for the development of custom algorithms, simulations and experiments with embodied intelligence. The manufacturer also states support for secondary development and compatibility with Isaac Sim.
Dynamic movement, high load capacity and long endurance
The robot is based on a robust design with a weight of approximately 18 kg, high articulation torque and a load-free life of over 4 hours. This makes it suitable not only for the lab, but also for more demanding test environments where a combination of mobility, stability and long autonomy is needed. It can handle fast movement, stair walking, slope climbing and load handling, so it can serve as a versatile platform for research, inspection and advanced demonstration scenarios.
Rugged design and connectivity for real-world deployment
Designed to operate in a variety of conditions, the robot body offers IP54 protection, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2 and Gigabit Ethernet. There is also GPS and 4G connectivity, which are present by default but only activated after user authorization. This makes the As2 U2 ready for outdoor testing, remote operation and connection to other systems and research infrastructure.
