In this form, the vitamin molecule is hidden in a liposome - a sac made of a phospholipid membrane. Thanks to this, it passes through the digestive tract intact and achieves a multifold higher absorption than the conventional form. Iron is crucial for the normal production of haemoglobin and red blood cells, normal energy metabolism and cell division. Vitamin C increases the absorption of iron, which is why it is recommended to take it with meals (breakfast or lunch). Vitamin C is an antioxidant, so it helps protect our cells from damage.
