It is mounted directly onto the base cabinet, and the worktop is either fitted flush on both sides or it overlaps the edges of the sink from above. A modular sink is primarily recommended for installation with worktops made of non-absorbent material. If a solid wood worktop is to be used, you must ensure the cut-out edges are well sealed.

This is a ceramic sink produced using a traditional method – casting in moulds followed by high-temperature firing in a kiln at temperatures around 1200°C. During this process, minor changes may occur in the material's structure, particularly in non-visible areas such as the underside of the sink, which is not exposed to view or in contact with water or dishes during normal use. Fine hairline cracks that may appear on this lower, technical part of the sink are caused by the material shrinking during firing. This phenomenon is common for ceramic products of this type and does not compromise the strength, watertightness, or overall functionality of the sink. Furthermore, these micro-cracks occur on the unglazed part, which serves only for structural purposes (e.g., attaching to the worktop) and has no impact on the appearance or user comfort. A dimensional tolerance of ±1–1.5cm must be expected. We recommend having the sink physically present before finalising your kitchen unit.
