The Vipow BAT0213 rechargeable gel battery serves as a power source with a voltage of 12V and a capacity of 1.3Ah. Thanks to its gel electrolyte technology, it is completely maintenance-free, so it doesn't require any fluid top-ups. Its design is shock-resistant and allows it to be stored in any position. The battery's lifespan reaches up to 500 charge cycles, which supports long-term use in backup power supplies and other devices.

Operation and charging

The Vipow BAT0213 battery uses a maintenance-free gel electrolyte, which means it is not necessary to check or top up any fluid. To preserve its lifespan, you must adhere to the correct charging voltage. In standby mode at 25°C, a voltage of 13.6–13.8V is recommended. For cyclical use at the same temperature, the specified voltage is 14.5–14.9V. The maximum initial current should not exceed 0.39A.

Capacity and the effect of ambient temperature

The stated battery capacity of 1.3Ah applies to a 20-hour discharge cycle. With faster discharging, the capacity decreases – for example, with a 5-hour cycle, it is 1.0Ah, and with a one-hour cycle, it is 0.8Ah. The battery's performance is also affected by the ambient temperature. At a standard temperature of 25°C, it operates at 100% capacity. At higher temperatures, for example at 40°C, its capacity increases slightly to 102%. Conversely, it decreases in the cold – at 0°C it reaches 85% and at -15°C it drops to 62% of its nominal value.
