Acerola Liquid C is a syrup containing natural vitamin C extracted from the Acerola plant. 5 ml (1 dose) contains 100 mg of natural vitamin C. Acerola or malpighia is a plant native to South America. Its cherry-like fruits contain large amounts of bioflavonoids, carotenoids and are also one of the richest sources of vitamin C. 4 g of Acerola powder (1 teaspoon) contains about 720 mg of vitamin C. Other significantly represented ingredients include vitamin A, potassium and magnesium. Acerola is widely cultivated on the sessile soils of northeastern Brazil, and besides South America it grows wild in Central America, Jamaica, Florida and Texas. Oranges contain 500 to 4,000 parts per million of vitamin C, while Acerola contains 16,000 to 172,000.
