Why is Vitamin E important?
The vitamin E contained in the supplement is extracted from soybean oil. There are a total of 8 naturally occurring forms of vitamin E, alpha, beta, gamma and delta forms of tocopherol and tocotrienol, these are often synthesized by plants from homogentisic acid. Vitamin E occurs naturally in foods such as nuts, olive oil, leafy greens and avocados. Supplementation may be appropriate with increased workload. Vitamin E is fat-soluble, which means that the body stores and builds up reserves of it. Vitamin E does not have optimal effect without the presence of vitamin C, B2, selenium and glutathione, it is dependent on these substances.
