Woodford Reserve. Woodford, the smallest distillery that works, produces whiskey in small batches from start to finish. The distillery was founded in 1812.

Production and composition

The recipe for Woodford Reserve consists of 72% corn, 18% rye, 10% barley malt. The boiled grain ferments in small, five-centimeter-wide fermentation vessels made of cypress wood for five to seven days, resulting in a beer about 9% thick. This is followed by triple distillation.
