Latest YPAO and Virtual CINEMA FRONT technologies

Each room is different, and that is why YPAO (Yamaha Parametric Room Acoustic Optimizer) was created. It analyzes room acoustics and adjusts various parameters for optimum sound in just a few minutes. This ensures that the listening room is tuned perfectly to provide the best possible audio experience. Even with small speakers, the YAMAHA RX-V683 delivers rich bass with its sophisticated low frequency enhancements. If you do not want or do not have room for rear speakers, the Virtual CINEMA DSP will produce a realistic surround effect even with 2 speakers. Virtual CINEMA FRONT can virtually place 5 speakers around the room, even if they are actually placed at the front.

Partner of the latest TVs with HDMI 2.0

The receiver supports the latest HDMI standards, including the transmission of 4K video at 60 frames per second (only pass-through). It also offers full HDCP 2.2 support (the latest standard for copyright protection), and can handle the wider BT.2020 colour gamut (pass-through), and of course 3D video signal. The audio return channel (HDMI ARC) makes it easy to connect the YAMAHA RX-V683 to a TV using a single HDMI cable which transfers the sound from the TV to the receiver.

MusicCast home music center

MusicCast easily and wirelessly brings music to every room in your home, with playback controlled via a clear and user-friendly application. The Yamaha RX-V683 receiver can be put into the living room as the main entertainment room, after which you can gradually add MusicCast speakers, sound bars and other HiFi components to other rooms. With wireless connectivity, you don't need to worry about annoying cables.
