The Zanussi ZHT 610X, a 60cm wide device in a modern stainless steel design will surely be a welcome helper in your kitchen. If you do not have the option of extracting air out of the room, you can recirculate it, so oily steam and unwanted smell is deposited directly in the hood and clean air goes back into the room.
