Zovirax Duo contains two medicinal substances: acyclovir and hydrocortisone. Acyclovir is an antiviral that helps fight the virus that causes cold sores. Hydrocortisone is a weak steroid that relieves the inflammation that develops in a cold sore. Zovirax Duo can be used by adults and adolescents aged 12 years and older. Zovirax Duo cream is used to treat the first signs and symptoms of cold sores on the lip and face (e.g. itching, tingling or redness) to reduce the likelihood of the cold sore developing into a blister.
Dosage and method of use
Apply cream:
Five times a day for 5 days (i.e. approximately every 3-4 hours when you are awake. It is recommended to start treatment as soon as possible, preferably as soon as you notice the first signs of infection (e.g. tingling, redness or itching). Do not use the product for more than 5 days. If your symptoms last longer than 10 days, you must consult your doctor.

Storage
Keep this product out of sight and reach of children. Store at temperatures up to 25°C. Protect from cold and frost. Do not use this product after the expiry date stated on the box and tube after EXP.
Shelf life:
It refers to the last day of that month. The shelf life after the first opening of the tube is 3 months. Do not use this product if you notice that the cream has changed in consistency or appearance. Do not dispose of any medicines in wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of products you no longer use. These measures help protect the environment.
