What is a price report and what it contains
A price report serves as a tool to monitor the competitiveness of the prices you recommend to Alza. It identifies products whose prices exceed the prevailing market price for the same product, indicating that these items do not meet the Optimal Price (OP) requirements.
In the report, you will find the following:
- Product identifiers: Alza product code, Product name, Product EAN code, Supplier code.
- Your recommended price (excluding VAT), market price (excluding VAT), and percentage price difference.
- Links to competitors, based on which the market price is determined (links to price comparison websites may be separated by a semicolon, check if the URL address is correct).
- Columns for processing from your side (see How to submit a report).
- Supplier's Alza code - identifier for our internal purposes.
How to process a price report
Upon receiving a price report, your prompt action is required. Ideally, this involves adjusting prices to align with the Optimal Price (OP). In such cases, no further response to the report is necessary.
- Price adjustments can be made directly within the provided feed or through your preferred integration system (e.g., Expando). For the Alza Trade portal, refer to this guide.
In case of any discrepancies within the report, you can record them in the provided XLS file following the instructions below.
- If the competitor link does not match the reported product, select the Incorrect URL reason in column I and enter the correct link into the Correct competitor URL column (column J).
- If you no longer wish to supply certain products, select the Discontinue/Block product reason in column I.
- If price adjustments are not possible due to other valid reasons, select Other reason in column I and briefly explain the situation in column K (Note).
How to submit a report
After processing the report, it's necessary to send the filled file as a reply to the original email. There's no need to include anything in the body of the email; the report will be processed automatically, and the text of the email will not be taken into account.
