Port Connect has triggered mixed user reviews, since the new Surface does not contain the "more traditional" USB-C port. The USB-C port is currently used by many smartphones as it offers faster charging and data transfers. One reason the USB-C connector isn't used is because the mini DisplayPort would have to be removed. The mini DisplayPort can be used as a VGA, DVI and HDMI interface. However, it is possible that Surface could get an interface that will support the USB-C port in the future .
