This is a slightly sweet, mahogany-coloured rum with red highlights, aged for up to 12 years. It was awarded a gold medal at the 2013 Madrid Rum Congress.
A rum with extraordinary character
The aroma is pleasant, with a palette of subtle notes of oak, tropical fruit, flowers and fresh coffee, all complementing each other in perfect balance. The taste reveals noticeable notes of fruit and flowers, with hints of bitter almond emerging at the finish. The flavour is generally sweet with a slightly sharp aftertaste. The extraordinary character of the Exquisito range of rums is created by a combination of mature rum bases aged in American oak barrels to enhance their strength.
