The large-flowered mullein (Verbascum densiflorum) is a traditional medicinal herb whose dried flowers are used especially to support the respiratory system. Mullein is a biennial herb with a tall stem and showy yellow flowers. The flowers contain mucilaginous substances, saponins and flavonoids that contribute to normal respiratory function. Traditionally used for dry and irritating coughs, when it promotes mucus production and facilitates expectoration. It also has a beneficial effect on the liver and spleen.

Use
To make the infusion, pour 1-2 teaspoons of dried flowers into 250 ml of boiling water, leave to infuse for 10-15 minutes and then strain. Drink the infusion 1-2 times a day, preferably before meals.
