Semi-green tea ORIENTAL Formosa Red Oolong

Semi-green Red Oolong tea is Taiwan's new type of tea. It is grown in the Taitung area. Its characteristic feature is the length of oxidation, which is the longest of all oolongs (70 to 80%) and thus very close to the colour of red tea. Equally important is roasting, which, together with oxidation, removes the astringency and creates a rich aromatic profile. Red Oolong offers a balanced, smooth, slightly sweet and rich flavour profile with elements of fruit compote, tart or dried flowers. Packaging design may vary slightly.
To prepare ORIENTAL Formosa Red Oolong half green tea you will need 8 g of tea and a 0.4l pot. You can use the same tea leaves in several infusions. Pour water at 90 °C for the first time, let it infuse for 2 to 3 minutes. For the second infusion, heat the water to 95 °C and leave to infuse for 1 to 2 minutes. For the third time, pour 95 °C water over the tea leaves and leave to infuse for 2 to 3 minutes.
