Capacity

• Conventional microwave ovens with 17 to 19 litre capacity may be too small for defrosting larger poultry.
• If you love pizza or need a grill, make sure to select an appropriate size.

Power

• Affects how long does it take to cook something (1000 W is usually enough).
• Ovens with grill have separate power stats for the grill (ideally it should be at least 1 300 W).

Heating

• The basic function of any microwave oven.
• If you need nothing else, choose one of the cheaper microwaves.

Defrosting

• If you are planning to defrost a lot, be sure to choose an appropriately large oven.
• Defrosting larger poultry requires a capacity of 20 to 25 litres or larger.

Grill

• Can be used for heating and baking.
• Great for baked goods or baked pasta dishes.

Roasting

• In small households, a multifunction microwave can completely replace a traditional oven.
• Buying a single multifunction microwave saves money and space.

Steaming

• Ideal for healthy snacks.
• Preserves more vitamins and nutrients in your food.

Combination cooking

• Combines the functions of a microwave and grill.
• Suitable for foods that you need to bake simultaneously (pizza, lasagna, etc.).

Specific features and additions

• Crisp - great for making french fries and pizza
• Ovenproof platter - allows browning on both sides - ideal for making crispy bread.
• Rack - placed on the turntable it can be used to grill food from both sides (only for microwaves with grill function).
