Comfort during menopause

Climacterium (transition, climax) is a period of gradual extinction of the sexual cycle in a woman. This is a natural condition where at a certain age (usually between 40 and 50 years) the production of sex hormones (estrogens and progesterone) declines and the menstrual cycle gradually disappears (menopause). Climacterium is usually accompanied by a number of unpleasant symptoms. These include hot flashes, sweating, sleep disorders, frequent mood swings, depression, lack of concentration and dizziness. With estrogen deficiency, there is a loss of water in the skin (increased wrinkle formation). The menopause is associated with health problems such as osteoporosis (thinning of the bones), overweight, high blood pressure, high cholesterol levels (increasing the risk of cardiovascular disease) and frequent urinary tract infections, sometimes associated with difficulty in retaining urine (incontinence).
