The Secutek VIP-910Q carbon monoxide (CO) detector works on the principle of an electrochemical sensor that achieves high accuracy and very low false alarms. When the detector detects a dangerous concentration of carbon monoxide, the siren is triggered and the alarm LED flashes. The siren sound reaches 85dB. The device is not powered from the mains, but uses its own power supply. Before plugging in, you must insert 3 AA batteries in the correct polarity. When the battery capacity drops to a risk level, the beeper will beep at regular intervals. The detector is equipped with a so-called test button, which, when pressed, tests the functionality of the device. It is recommended to perform the test once a week. The detector is certified in accordance with the European standards BS EN50291-1:2010 +A1:2012 and BS EN50291-2:2010 and is therefore suitable for use in caravans and motorhomes.
