VP Racing 10W-40 Engine Break-in Oil is a unique, multi-viscosity oil, consisting of a blend of high-quality conventional base oils, ZDDP, Moly, and other chemical additives. It allows for the correct seating and mating of newly machined engine components. The engine break-in process is extremely critical when assembling an engine. For engine overhauls, use VP Engine Assembly Lube. It provides excellent protection against scuffing, galling, and metal transfer during engine assembly and the key break-in process.
