The AXAGON PCEA-S2N PCI-Express controller card effectively expands a desktop PC with two independent RS-232 serial ports, which use standard DB9 connectors. ASIX chipset performance
The card is based on the ASIX AX99100 chipset, which provides broad compatibility with various operating systems. The transmission speed for each port is up to 250kBd, and each port has its own 256-byte Transmit and Receive FIFO buffer for a smooth data flow. The card supports the UART 16C550, Extended 16C550, and 16C950 standards for stable operation with professional applications.
Flexible installation and connectivity
The controller uses the PCI-Express 2.0 interface and is backward compatible with PCIe 1.0a, 1.1, 2.1, and 3.0 slots. It can be installed in any x1, x4, x8, or x16 slot. The package includes both standard and low-profile brackets, so installation in low-profile PC cases is seamless. The card's rear bracket offers two external RS-232 ports with standard DB9 male connectors.
