Wood Chippers

Different materials require different types of mulcher. You can choose from two basic types, knife and roller crushers.

• Knife: To handle the material, two fast rotating knives are used, which chop the material into small pieces. They are particularly suitable in gardens with soft rubbish and thin branches. A disadvantage of the knife crusher is a relatively high noise.


• Cylindrical knife Material is processed through a rotating cylinder with sharp spikes, which excels in high performance shredding and can handle thicker branches. One big advantage is the automatic retraction reversing and it also has a lower noise level.

Important parameters:

• Performance: Lower power is sufficient for small branches, but for larger branches choose a chopper with a higher output.
• The diameter and length of branches: If the branches are too thick and long the device could stop or worse receive damage.
• Throughput: It represents the amount of material that the device can consume. Usually given in kg per hour.
• Other factors: Volume of the collecting container, ergonomics or weight.
