ASSAYF Gunpowder Assayf is a genuine Chinese green tea of a higher class. It is named after the small light-coloured balls in which it is wrapped. Wrapping the tea leaves protects the tea from weathering and ensures its long life. ASSAYF tea is made from the larger and older leaves of the tea tree.
ASSAYF Gunpowder Assayf green tea retains its lustre and slightly sweet aroma when fresh. Its taste has smoky notes and a pleasant grassy quality, the aroma is penetrating. You can make two infusions from one batch of tea leaves. First, you pour 500 ml of water at 80 °C over 10 g of tea and leave it to infuse for 2 minutes; for the second infusion, you use water at 90 °C and extend the infusion time to 3 minutes.
