Heather is a medicinal plant that can be seen in many flowerbeds or boxes and is popular for its resistance to adverse conditions. Its inflorescence is prepared in the form of a medicinal herbal tea that helps with bladder problems and also promotes relaxation. This herb is mainly used internally, but it can also be used to wash wounds.
Common heather
Heather is a low-growing shrub that grows to a height of between 20 and 50 cm. Exceptionally, it can grow up to one metre high. It has very rich purple, pink or white inflorescences. This herb has a high content of tannins (about 7%) and flavonoids (quercitrin). It also contains the alkaloid ericolin, essential oils, Slime, saponins, of bitterness, resin, silicic acid, organic acids and the glycoside arbutin.

Heather nasturtium.
Preparation
Pour 250 ml of boiling water over 1 teaspoon, infuse for 10-15 minutes and then strain. The infusion is always prepared fresh.
Recommended dosage
Drink 1-2 times a day.
Notice
Heather has no known side effects and is therefore also a suitable herb for pregnant and breastfeeding women. In weaker concentrations, the herb can be given to young children. It is recommended to take it for a maximum of three months straight and then take a three-month break.
