ORIENTAL Black tea Kenya Kericho Bongo 80/20 Special
50 g
This black tea comes from the famous Kericho district in Kenya, where tea plants of the Camellia Sinensis Assamica variety are grown at high altitudes between 1800 and 2500 meters. It is this specific mountain environment and careful processing that places this tea in the Special quality class. The name " Bongo 80/20" accurately defines the unique composition of this blend, which offers an unconventional take on classic black tea. This is a deliberately created ratio of 80% tea leaves and 20% tea stems and twigs . This composition is already evident in the dry state, when the golden brown colour of the stems creates a visual contrast with the dark leaves. Thanks to this proportion of stems, the blend acquires a lighter and airier character, while retaining its full body, typical of Kenyan teas.

Kenyan tea with amber infusion and herbal notes
Once steeped, the tea will reward you with a brew with a deep, amber-mahogany colour. The flavor profile is surprisingly complex; The first sip is soft, velvety and very clean. The taste is dominated by a mild sweetness intertwined with subtle notes of wild herbs. It is the specific addition of stems that enhances the aroma with fresh citrus accents and delicate jasmine tones that give the drink its layered character. The overall experience is enhanced by a slightly smoky aroma, making this tea a fascinating choice for those who want to experience the diversity of Kenyan production.
