Kenya Kericho Raha OP black tea brings the best from the famous tea gardens of East Africa. The name " Raha" itself comes from Swahili and translates to " pleasure". This high-quality tea comes from the Kericho district, where there are ideal climatic conditions for growing tea plants. The Camellia Sinensis Assamica bushes thrive here at a respectable altitude of 1,800 to 2,500 meters. It is this high-altitude location that ensures the leaves ripen more slowly, leading to a deeper and more complex aroma than is typical of conventional black teas.

Kenyan black tea with a floral character and a sweet aftertaste
In terms of classification, it is an OP (Orange Pekoe) grade, which means high-quality, long and whole leaves that fully develop after infusion. The resulting infusion will immediately captivate you with its pleasant, slightly sweet aroma. The first sip reveals a natural sweetness reminiscent of honey and sugar cane juice. The taste then develops smoothly into fresh tones of orange peel and delicate citrus, which give the drink the necessary liveliness, but completely lack the unpleasant astringency or sharpness typical of some low-growing teas. In the heart of the flavor, subtle nuances of roses gradually appear, giving the entire composition a balance between fruitiness and florality. The experience culminates in a smooth and soothing aftertaste. Long-lasting layers of sweet caramel remain on the palate, which linger pleasantly and encourage further sips. Kenya Kericho Raha OP is therefore an ideal choice for those looking for a balanced and flavorful tea.
