ORIENTAL Japan Kukicha green tea
We particularly recommend Kukicha to those who are new to Japanese teas, as it doesn't turn bitter as quickly as is typical for Japanese teas. This makes it a little easier to prepare. It is a very popular tea with a complex grassy and marine flavour and a strikingly greenish brew. The high content of stems gives the brew a delicate and creamy flavour. It is also sought after for its low caffeine content, which makes it ideal for drinking all day long.
Preparation
Preparation of approx. 9g of tea in a 0.4L teapot:
- 1st infusion: water at approx. 70°C, infuse for about 2 minutes,
- 2nd infusion: water at approx. 80°C, infuse for 3 minutes.
Storage
Store in a cool, dark, and dry place.
