Chamomile, botanically known as Matricaria chamomilla or Matricaria recutita, is a traditional part of herbalism with deep roots in European history. This annual herb is abundant in the Czech Republic and other parts of Europe. Chamomile is characterised by its unmistakable appearance. The inflorescence is characterized by typical white petals, which are surrounded by a conical centre of deep yellow colour. It is this hollow centre inside that is the key identifying feature of true chamomile. This single-species tea contains no added flavours or preservatives, it is a pure natural product.
