Greek mountain tea is an excellent tea made from the tops of the mountain tea tree originating from the Peloponnese Peninsula. This herbal tea with a slightly spicy taste was already drunk by ancient Greek goat and sheep herders. Mountain ash tea is still a popular drink in the Greek mountains today. In the lower regions of Greece, this herb is used more as a spice. You can enjoy this tea both hot and cold - in both cases you will enjoy the excellent taste.

Do you know how to make iced tea?
There is no need to look for any complexity when preparing iced tea. Pour the chilled tea into a glass with ice cubes. If you like it sweet, don' t be afraid to add a teaspoon of honey or cane sugar. Finally, garnish the glass with a slice of citrus and serve.
Ingredients
Dried thread of the mountain sedge (Sideritis scardica).
Preparation
Pour 1 to 2 teaspoons of tea into a mug (250 ml). Pour boiling water (100 ºC). Let steep for 5 to 10 minutes. Keep in mind that the longer you steep the tea, the more bitter your drink will be. The rule also applies that the shorter you steep the tea, the lower its effects. You can add sweetener, honey, lemon, etc. to taste.
