Lutein and zeaxanthin are carotenoids found in the retina of the eye, particularly in the area called the macula (yellow spot), the central part of the retina that is responsible for sharp, detailed vision. The product contains lutein and zeaxanthin in the form of an extract from the axamotlum erect. Selenium, vitamin C and vitamin E contribute to the protection of cells against oxidative stress, which can be caused by e.g. by the sun's UV rays.
