Essential II Digital is the perfect way to combine traditional audio recording with a modern way of reproduction. With digital output, you can connect your home cinema, receiver, soundbar and other audio systems. Until now, vinyl lovers have not had a chance to connect to these systems, so that's why this Digital version has been made available. The optical interface ensures that the signal output is exactly the same as the original.
Pro-Ject Essential II is the successor to the previously successful turntable, but is enhanced by a quieter synchronous motor and a DC power motor control. Together they effectively minimise unwanted vibrations, thereby transmitting a cleaner sound. There is a drive belt with silicone belt, and an arm made from a single piece of aluminum, on a new sapphire bearing. It will simply satisfy true lovers of quality reproduction.
Due to the advanced design, unwanted resonances are effectively transferred to the base of the arm and then into the chassis. The main part of the chassis is made of light but very solid chipboard. The turntable comes with a dust-proof plexiglass cover and an Ortofon OM5E cartridge, so just plug it into the appropriate amplifier (decoder in the case of optical) and start listening in excellent quality!
